What is natsuko - summer's child designs? Thank you so much for visiting natsuko-summer's child designs. This project started in 2000 as a clothing and accesories design idea that changed in 2004 to making doll's clothes. This little design studio allows me to explore, enjoy, and create with fabric what I cannot do on a 'human' scale. natsuko - summer's child lets me connect with other doll and fashion afficionados who share my love of fashion, beauty, and the human figure as realised in the various dolls available. It also allows me to partially fund my education doing something that I love and bringing joy to others. Commissions I am very much available for commissions. As a University student (and a tutor) what little time I have left over goes into creating beautiful things. If your project is doable I will gladly accept it. I am very hesitant to take on projects that I feel cannot be accomplished in a timely manner (as such I have blackout periods) or that I feel would be too costly for you. Costs I keep the costs of my items as reasonable as possible. I love my doll, and I know that there are a few of us on meager incomes who love beauty. As such, I keep prices within range of what I could afford. I see these clothes as works of art, and I believe art should be accesible to anyone, regardless of money. I do also raise money for worthy causes, i.e. different charities or organizations that need financial assistance. In those cases I create special pieces to be auctioned off as a fundraiser. If you adore one of these special pieces but cannot afford it, let me know. Design elements can always be adapted to fit a budget. Anyone can hold beauty. Purchasing As I move out of the school year and into the glorious freedom of the summer holidays I will put more of my items on this site for direct sale. Otherwise I sell items on ebay, through word of mouth, and based on commission. Purchasing online is done securely through PayPal. Other methods of purchase can be discussed, but I choose safe and secure when dealing with the transmission of monies and goods. What type of doll do you have? I have a Serendipity Alice doll. She is a ball-jointed doll from Korea. Comparable to the Volks Mini Super Dollfie, she serves as my model. Her name is Carmia Mirra, Cara Mia (or C.M.) for short. She stands 16" (41cm) tall, is jointed in all the major intersections (shoulders, ankles, knees, etc.) and is unfortunately absorbing all the winsome melancholy about this place and becoming quite the daydreamer. This may be why I dress her up so much; different colors and poses give a happier expression at times. These are truly beautiful dolls; I highly reccomend them, if not to own then to examine and appreciate. Why do some of the links not work? This site is very new, and I am still designing and coding the whole thing. There is the added issue of designing a site that is as simple as possible, due to the server ads, while still following my aesthetic leanings. Soon all the links will work, and by then I will probably want an entirely new layout, or have a new host, and begin the process all over again. In the meantime, please bear with me, and please do email me. Thank you! Other Questions? Please contact me using: natashavictoria at hotmail . com |
